RMS offers experienced mobile plant operators that can demonstrate at least 6 months / 100 hours of experience the opportunity to be assessed to national competencies.
Current operators that can prove (by way of a letter from an employer) experience on various mobile equipment can be assessed by RMS to national RII AQTF competencies.
Such statements of attainment count toward formal qualifications and can greatly enhance the career prosepects of operators.
Participants that complete an assessment are provided with a suggested study plan to achieve either a Certificate II in Surface Extraction or Certificate III in Civil Construction (Plant Operations).
Assessments are conducted one-on-one.
The registration fee per equipment type includes a time for a theory revision / assessment and practical assessment at the RMS training quarry. Participants may choose to purchase additional machine time, in 2-hour blocks, for additional practice prior to the assessment. Such additional machine time comes complete with a highly qualified trainer in a one-on-one setting.
