1 Day course for anyone who works at heights. This course is often a pre-requisite set by employers for certain job roles.
This course is designed for participants currently working, or intending to work, at heights such as roofs, construction sites or similar.
With a significant number of job opportunities in the building and construction industry at present, this course can enhance the ability of candidates to secure furhter work. To watch one of two short videos of RMS speaking to Channel 9 about job opportunities click here.
The course covers off on important safety considerations when conducting work in such environments.
Safety equipment and fall retarding systems are studied and applied.
Other subjects covered include:
- General legislative requirements
- Anchorages
- Protection of holes and openings
- Edge protection
- Requirements when working on fragile roofs
- Requirements when operating EWPs or working on Scaffolding
Upon successful completion, participants will be issued a nationally recognised unit of competency: RIIOHS204A Work Safely at Heights.
RMS is a BCITF registered training provider and WA participants may be eligible for subsidised training under the BCITF scheme.
